Envision Strategies and Ricca Design Studios partnered with Colorado State University’s Housing & Dining Services to develop a comprehensive Residential Dining Services (RDS) Master Plan that positions CSU’s dining program for long‑term success. Through a collaborative process, including extensive data collection, benchmarking, meal plan modeling, scenario evaluation, space programming, and conceptual design, our team worked closely with CSU stakeholders to ensure every component reflected the University’s strategic goals, operational realities, and student expectations. This resulted in a forward‑looking Master Plan that not only documents the analysis and decisions made, but also provides a clear, actionable roadmap for phased redevelopment across the RDS portfolio. The plan responds to critical needs identified in the assessment phase, including substantial facility renovations, modernized retail dining options, and reimagined production and support spaces. The recommendations strengthen CSU’s ability to meet future enrollment growth, enhance the student experience, improve operational efficiency, and deliver a modern, retail-forward dining program that reflects the University’s culture and identity. The Master Plan captures not only the collaborative process, but the shared vision that will guide CSU’s dining transformation in the years ahead.
